Today we say 'ciao' to an amazing, outstanding 'crip' activist.....Ciao Stella!!!!
Unable to get to Melbourne Town Hall or Federation Square to bid farewell to Stella Young, who died recently at age 32. While I can't be at her public memorial, this is my own homage to an amazing, outstanding activist for Australia's disability community and sector.
UPDATE: The memorial was delivered as Stella 'abundantly' instructed. Over eight hundred people congregated into Melbourne Town Hall. Thanks to Graeme Innes, Hon. Kelly Vincent (Dignity for Disability MLC, South Australia), Nelly Thomas and Waleed Aly for presiding the whole 'criptastic' event.
